# My touch key reader (for the audit trail feature) will not connect to my PC because there is no serial port.

## Archive, 6300

**Problem:**  
 I do not have a serial port on my computer.

**Cause:**  
 Current model computer do not come configured with a serial port.

**Solution:**  
 A serial to USB converter may work. You will need to source one from your local electronic store or the internet. The software has been tested and the system should work with Windows XP.
